Pomodoro Technique

The Pomodoro technique have been known from many time but I was not aware about this technique. So for those of you who are unfamiliar with this productivity technique, here it is broken down into its basic steps:

1) Choose a task.
2) Set a timer to 25 minutes.
3)Work on the task until the timer goes off.
4) Take a short break, upto 4-5 minutes.
5) Repeat the above process four times.
After four tasks completions ( or “pomodoros”), take a longer break — anywhere between 15–20 minutes.
6) Then again follow the step 1.
Basically the purpose is to divide your work or make chunks of your work.

Eat that Frog With Pomodoro

I have to complete my Online Course and it takes about more than 8 hours for completion. I prepared myself for the course, took all necessary things with me and arrange all the things and started work. I signed out my Facebook account and Whatsapp notification turned off. I used the Pomodoro technique and I was surprised to see the results.

I started work and after 25 minutes, I put a star on a paper and I took rest for 4-5 minutes and literally when I came back to work after 5 minutes, my mind was fresh again and I started again work with same passion with which I started at the beginning.
Then again after 25 minutes I took rest and make a star on the paper again. After doing work for 25 minutes without being disturbed I became bored and I was thinking to stop doing course because I felt headache.
This time I have completed 4 stars on paper. After 4 stars on paper, I took rest for 15 minutes and take some tea with cookies.

Again I started my work and completed in almost 5 hours and didn’t feel tired. I was surprised that first I was completing this course in almost 10 hours and now it’s completed in almost 5 hours and without being tired and getting bored.

Then I realized these things are actually hurdles;

1)Mobile Phone can be a hurdle
2)Social Media accounts can be hurdles for everyone who is doing important work.
3)Doing work without planning and not arranging the whole area.
4)By doing work consistently make us bored and tired.
